Therapeutic Treatment Options
Waterford Treatment Options
Today, young adults are faced with many complex tasks and decisions. At times, this complexity can become overwhelming and may create a degree of uncertainty. This uncertainty can affect the young adult’s ability to make educational or career progress at the desirable rate. The transition into adulthood and self-sufficiency is never easy. At Waterford Academy, we provide a unique program to help young adults overcome the sense of being overwhelmed and move towards creating a more productive and meaningful life.
Partial Hospitalization Program
Waterford Academy can help teens and their families following a stay at an inpatient or residential treatment facility. When youth are released from these types of programs, they require follow up care to help them adjust to their family and community. Our therapists offer considerable expertise in this phase of treatment.
The Program at Waterford Academy is six intense clinically hours a day encompassing therapy, process groups, relapse prevention, life skills training, experiential therapies including art and dance, daily trips to the gym, equine therapy and healthy eating.
Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
As clients develop more stability and control of their lives, the next therapeutic step is IOP or intensive out patient. IOP is offered from 5 pm to 8 pm on Monday thru Thursday. The therapeutic focus is generally more relaxed as compared to PHP. These clients are more stable in their behaviors, school participation, and with their family settings.
