Therapeutic Boarding Schools Are Effective, But Not Always the Best Option for Troubled Teens from Hackberry, TX

Therapeutic boarding schools have often been used to treat troubled teen’s conditions. But how often does treating the problem this way result in undesired affects? Oftentimes, the teen will lose touch with their family and feel as if they were abandoned and un-loved. Should struggling teenagers be sent far away from their home in Hackberry, TX? We don’t think so.

I.O.P. – A More Ideal Situation for Teens from Hackberry, TX

These solutions were inadequate for us here at Waterford Academy, so we sought to find a better alternative by implementing an Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program for teenage boys and girls, or as we like to call it, a “Therapeutic Day School.” We found that when the teen stays with us during the day to receive their treatment and education, then going home at night is crucial in their rehabilitation. Maintaining a good family relationship is key in a long lasting recovery.

Waterford Academy knows how difficult of a time this can be. If you are a parent of a struggling teen and are looking into treatment for your child, please don’t hesitate to call Waterford Academy for a free consultation. We can be reached at 866-439-0355.

We here at Waterford want you to expect the best possible treatment. We seek to help the family understand the child’s condition by having family therapy sessions. Knowing the process helps the parents relate to the circumstances, helping the child feel loved during the process. It is our goal to maintain the love that you have provided them, while they receive the necessary treatment.

Hackberry, TX –  In 1983 Hackberry was incorporated. During that time we had poor roads, poor water supply and failing septic systems through out the city. In 1987 the first official Hackberry City Hall was constructed by city leaders and citizens. Our second City Hall was purchased in 1994.  The City of Hackberry moved into their new City Hall May 2012.  As of current, we have seen a new water system, new sewer systems, road improvements and much more. We now supply water and sewer to over 1000 customers.  The City plans to have all the roads resurfaced in the near future.
