It is easier than ever before for teens to get a hold of drugs or alcohol, making it even easier to follow the wrong path. Many teens that do not receive help end up homeless or develop other serious behavioral health issues. If you suspect that your teen is in need of help, do not hesitate to contact Waterford Academy today. Your child is the most important person in your life and they deserve the best help available.
Typical residential treatment centers are inpatient, meaning that the patients stay at the facility 24/7 in order to receive treatment. It is a well known fact that mental attitude has a great influence on healing and rehabilitation. Outpatient programs are better suited to treat the youth. Teens are able to go home to their family every day, which has shown to be important to the healing process. Your teenage son or daughter deserves the best help that you can provide. One of the many reasons that teens relapse and return to old habits like drugs and alcohol is because of the type of treatment they received. Typical ‘rehab’ clinics do not focus on the long term, but instead focus on short term results. Your child is much more than a short term investment. Give them the help that they deserve today.

Afterwards doublewide trailers and recreational vehicles appeared in the city limits. Candace Carlisle of the Denton Record-Chronicle said that Corral City “prospered” for a decade, but after the early 1990s retirement of Geneva Helton’s and the death of her husband, the town, in Carlisle’s words, “began a slow decline. Soon, all that remained was a graveyard of rotting doublewides.”

Functional families usually involve strong bonds built on a history of openness and support. This type of environment is vitally important for your child as they move into their teen years. Teens are striving to form a self-identity, sense of autonomy, acceptance and validation by their peers. By avoiding criticism of the methods your teen chooses to create this identity protects the bonds of trust they have formed with you throughout their pre-teen years. It provides them with a safe avenue to share with you considerations of harmful or dangerous ways to “fit in” and feel accepted. If they share these considerations with you or you suspect they are choosing methods that endanger themselves or others, it’s time to be proactive and address your concerns. Here at Waterford Academy LLC we offer a free assessment and drug urinalysis to determine whether or not your teen needs our services and if so, which of our offered programs can best help you teen. Your direct involvement and support will remain a vital part of their success at making healthy decisions as they move towards adulthood.
