The first Town Council (founding fathers) was Bill Ferris, Arthur Huston, Paul Vickery, Don Colby and Betty Harmon. The first Town Marshall was Robert Shackelford. Council Meetings were held in homes until 1978 when several residents got together and built the current Town Hall at 400 Woodland Drive. The developer of the Woodlands Addition donated the land.
